Teen Therapy in Seattle (13+)
A place to feel understood, build confidence, and become more fully yourself.
Being a teenager can be complicated. Adolescence brings enormous changes in relationships, identity, emotions, expectations, and the growing question of who you want to become.
Sometimes a teen is struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, friendships, family relationships, school pressure, or simply feeling overwhelmed by emotions that are difficult to understand. Other times, it may be hard to know exactly what is wrong; only that something feels harder than it should.
Therapy can offer a space outside of family, school, and social expectations where a teen can be genuinely themselves, feel understood, and begin to make sense of what they are experiencing.
My Approach
My work with teens is relational and developmentally sensitive. I believe that adolescents need both connection and practical tools as they learn to understand themselves and navigate an increasingly complex world.
Our work may draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to identify patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and develop more helpful ways of responding. We may also use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills to build emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal skills.
But therapy isn't only about learning skills or changing thoughts. I want teens to have the opportunity to understand why they feel the way they do, develop trust in their own experiences, and discover what matters to them.
I work collaboratively with teens, meeting them where they are and respecting their growing independence and sense of self.
A space to become yourself
My hope is that therapy becomes a place where your teen can feel seen without feeling judged, develop language for what is happening inside them, and build confidence in their ability to navigate difficult experiences.
Adolescence isn't simply something to get through. It is an important time of becoming.
I help young people develop the self-understanding, emotional skills, and sense of agency they need to move through this season with greater confidence—and to become more fully themselves.
