Therapy for Individuals
Understanding yourself. Reconnecting with yourself. Creating new possibilities.
Individual therapy can be a place to slow down and make sense of what you are experiencing, especially when old patterns no longer seem to be working.
You may be navigating anxiety, depression, the effects of trauma, a difficult life transition, relationship challenges, questions about identity or self-worth, or simply a sense that something in your life feels out of alignment. You may understand yourself intellectually but still feel stuck in patterns that are difficult to change.
I believe our emotions, behaviors, and patterns make sense in the context of our experiences and relationships. Rather than simply trying to get rid of difficult emotions or symptoms, we can become curious about what they are communicating and what they may be protecting.
My Approach
My work with individuals is grounded in attachment theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and relational approaches.
EFT helps us understand the emotional patterns that develop in response to our experiences and relationships. Together, we can slow down enough to notice what is happening beneath the surface—what you are feeling, what you need, and what you have learned to do when those needs feel threatened or unmet.
Our work may involve making space for emotions that have been difficult to access, understanding patterns that have kept you stuck, processing painful experiences, and developing greater trust in your own internal experience.
I also believe that insight is most meaningful when it leads to greater choice. As you understand yourself more deeply, you can begin to respond differently—to yourself, to the people you love, and to the circumstances of your life.
What I hope you gain from therapy
My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you can better understand yourself without judgment, reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have become difficult to hear, and develop greater confidence in your own experience.
Therapy isn't about becoming someone different. It is about becoming more fully connected to who you already are and having greater freedom to choose how you want to live and relate.
